Unit 6 Cyclic-Pathologic Endo Changes

This educational unit teaches students about the hormonal regulation of the menstrual cycle through the HPO axis and how these hormonal changes correlate with sonographic appearances of the endometrium throughout different cycle phases. Students will learn to identify normal cyclic endometrial patterns (menstrual, proliferative, and secretory phases), recognize age-related changes in postmenopausal women, and interpret findings in the context of patient history, medications, and clinical symptoms to distinguish normal variations from pathology.
